Draft Diridon Station Area Plan EIR Scoping Meeting

An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is being prepared for the Draft Diridon Station Area Plan.  The City welcomes your input on what potential environmental impacts could result from the proposed Diridon Station Area Plan and should be analyzed in the Environmental Impact Report.

To facilitate community input, an EIR scoping meeting has been scheduled as follows:

Where: Fireside room at the Westminster Presbyterian Church

1100 Shasta Avenue, San Jose (intersection of Shasta Avenue and The Alameda)

When: Wednesday, November 2 at 7 pm.

To review a project description of the Draft Diridon Station Area Plan, its location, and a brief summary of the probable environmental effects that will be analyzed in the EIR click on the link below.

Diridon Station Plan EIR Scoping Meeting

Planning has announced scoping meetings for the "Draft Program EIR for the Diridon Station Area Plan"

  • Tues Sept 27, 2011 from 2 to 3 pm Room 332 City Hall
  • Thurs Sept 29 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm Room 332 City Hall

Key to adjoining neighborhoods will be the underlying assumptions used for traffic analysis, e.g. "X% of baseball fans will take light rail or trains."

Diridon Station Area Plan - Special Meeting

The council will be having a Diridon Station Area Special Meeting on Thursday April 28, 9 am to noon. This is an action item, not a study session.

City Council Approves Diridon Plans

On January 25, 2011 the City of San Jose City Council approved both the Diridon Good Neighbor Committee’s work - the Framework for Implementation, and provided direction on the further refinement of the Diridon Station Area Master Plan.
