Welcome to the Neighborhood

The Shasta / Hanchett Park Neighborhood Association is a volunteer-based community organization founded in 1985 to protect and advance the interests of the Shasta/Hanchett Park, St. Leo's, Garden Alameda, and Cahill Park neighborhoods in San José, California. S/HPNA provides and promotes programs and activities aimed at building community and fostering civic involvement in this historic community.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” We all have heard the news that the City of San Jose has cut back the number of police officers and implemented brown outs at the San Jose Fire Department.
